Choosing the right typography can completely transform your website. Whether you’ve invested in custom branding, purchased a premium font, or simply found a typeface that feels like you, learning how to add custom fonts to Showit is one of the easiest ways to elevate your website.
The good news? It’s much simpler than you might think.
In this tutorial, I’ll walk you through exactly how to upload and use custom fonts in Showit. If you’re more of a visual learner, I’ve also included a quick Loom video you can follow along with.

Before uploading your font, make sure you have:
Log into Showit and navigate to your Design Library. This is where you’ll manage the fonts available across your website.
Upload your font file directly into Showit. Once uploaded, your custom font will become available throughout your design, allowing you to apply it to headings, body text, buttons, and other text elements.
If you’re uploading multiple font weights (such as Regular, Medium, Bold, or Italic), be sure to upload each file individually so they’re available when designing.
One of the biggest mistakes I see is using too many fonts throughout a website. A beautiful website isn’t about using more fonts—it’s about using them intentionally.
As a general rule, I recommend sticking to two or three complementary typefaces and applying them consistently throughout your headings, paragraphs, buttons, and navigation.
Consistency builds trust and creates a much more polished user experience.
Double-check that you’ve uploaded the correct file type and refresh your Showit app if needed.
Showit supports both .WOFF files. If your font includes multiple weights, upload each one separately. Please note that .WOFF2 files are not supported in Showit.
Yes! Depending on your licensing and workflow, Adobe Fonts can also be integrated into your website.
If you’re unsure, look for terms like “Webfont License,” “Website License,” or “Web Use” in your purchase confirmation or the font’s licensing documentation. When in doubt, it’s always best to contact the font creator or foundry directly before uploading it to your website.
Pro Tip: Just because a font is installed on your computer doesn’t automatically mean you’re licensed to use it on your website.
